Suzie
Suzie is our little rescue dog and she came to our home in December 2001. She had sadly suffered long term starvation and was unrecogniseable as the dog she is today. She immediately took to the boys and they too liked her. We did try to rehome her, twice but she kept getting sent back so we decided with us was where she belonged. She likes to think she rules the roost but no one takes any notice of her extremely vocal protests and I have seen friends Beardies just step over her much to her disgust !! She tags along anywhere the beardies go and it is only the wind and rain that put her off.
Badger
Badger was an unplanned addition to our home. He was one of two boys in a litter bred by George & Angie Pedder. I had gone along with two friends to see the litter when they were about six weeks old and it was never ever my intention that two weeks later one would be coming home. Although all puppies are special, I'm sure George & Ange won't mind me saying that Badger was just a little more so, as he had been born with one eye. We had lost Charlie five months previously and this little pup became a real tonic for us. These days to see him running around and playing you would never know he only had one eye. He is an extremely loving dog and very intelligent. Although all Beardies are active, running is an absolute joy for Badger and I have never seen a Beardie go so fast. Since been a pup he has always adored Suzie and has taken Miller under his paw. We are very lucky that Badger is part of our family.
